Liquid Pipe Element Sensor

Overview

Liquid Pipe Element Sensor detects whether a particular liquid is present inside a liquid pipe. The device monitors a section of Liquid Pipe and identifies the presence of the single liquid type it has been configured to sense, providing a binary detection capability for automation and liquid routing decisions.

The sensor is designed to interface with pipe networks: it watches the contents of a pipe segment rather than open tiles or buildings. When the configured liquid occupies the monitored pipe segment, the sensor registers that presence; when that liquid is absent from the segment, the sensor registers its absence. Because the component is scoped specifically to pipe contents, it will not react to the same liquid if present only as a puddle or in another conduit type.

Practical usage notes and behavior derived from cross-language documentation:

  • Configure the sensor to the desired liquid; it will then evaluate pipe contents only for that chosen element.
  • Place the sensor on a Liquid Pipe segment where you need a reliable test for which fluid is currently flowing or stored.
  • Use the sensor as a decision point in automation logic to gate pumps, direct flows, or trigger other systems conditioned on the presence or absence of the selected liquid.
  • The sensor is focused on detecting a single specified liquid type per instance; detecting multiple different liquids simultaneously requires multiple sensors or different sensor placements.

The Liquid Pipe Element Sensor is a focused tool for managing and automating fluid logistics within pipe networks. Its ability to reliably indicate whether a specific liquid occupies a pipe segment makes it well suited to setups that must separate, prioritize, or fail-safe particular fluids in an automated manner.
