Liquid Pipe Element Sensor
Overview
Liquid Pipe Element Sensor is a Liquid Pipe automation building that detects whether a specific liquid is present in a pipe segment. It is used to inspect the contents of liquid pipes and can be configured for a particular liquid, making it a simple way to route fluids based on their type.
In practice, it is commonly paired with a Liquid Shutoff to build automated sorting systems. This setup functions like a Liquid Filter, but uses far less power: 10 W instead of 120 W. That makes it a more energy-efficient option when all that is needed is to open or close a line based on the liquid detected.
- Use it when you want to check for one specific liquid in a Liquid Pipe.
- Pair it with a Liquid Shutoff to divert or block flow automatically.
- Compared to a Liquid Filter, it provides the same basic filtering behavior at a much lower power cost.
- It is useful in compact fluid control systems where power efficiency matters.
