Bottle Emptier

Overview

The Bottle Emptier is a building used to empty bottled liquids into the world and to direct those liquids into player-defined storage areas. Its Element Filter allows players to restrict which liquid types the building will place, enabling control over where and how particular liquids are stored. By configuring the Element Filter, the Bottle Emptier can be used as a tool to create dedicated zones for one liquid while excluding others.

Because the Element Filter ties the building’s output to a specific element or set of elements, the Bottle Emptier functions as a simple liquid-sorting and staging device. Placing Bottle Emptiers with different filters around a base permits tidy separation of incompatible or valuable liquids without relying solely on pipes or manual movement. The same filter mechanism can be used to concentrate a single liquid type into an area for later collection, processing, or disposal.

  • Configure the Element Filter to the desired liquid element before operating the Bottle Emptier; only liquids that match the filter will be placed into the designated area.
  • Use multiple Bottle Emptiers with different filters to create adjacent areas each dedicated to a different liquid.
  • Position the Bottle Emptier so that the output flows into the intended area; the Element Filter controls which liquids are accepted, not the building’s placement behavior.
  • The Element Filter is the primary control for selective storage with Bottle Emptiers; set it consistently if you want predictable sorting results across multiple units.

The Bottle Emptier’s Element Filter is therefore an effective method for designating storage areas for specific liquids and for maintaining separation between different liquid types in a base.
