Solid Filter
Overview
Solid Filter is a building that controls which solid material is allowed to pass into its output conveyor. When active, every solid that reaches the building is forwarded into its output conveyor except for the single solid type that has been selected in the filter setting. The building therefore acts by excluding one chosen solid from the outgoing stream while passing all other solids onward.
The Solid Filter is connected to the output Conveyor Rail (the building’s conveyor outlet) so that non-filtered solids continue on existing conveyor paths. The filter selection determines which solid type will be withheld from the output; all other solid types encountered are routed into the output Conveyor Rail.
- Set the filter to the exact solid type you want excluded; only that selected type will be prevented from entering the output conveyor.
- Ensure the output Conveyor Rail is placed and routed to accept the non-filtered solids; the Solid Filter does not modify conveyor routing except to omit the selected solid.
- Multiple Solid Filters can be used in series or parallel to control multiple excluded materials by chaining filter selections across different buildings.
