Molten Gold

Overview
Molten Gold is the liquid form of the element

Molten Gold is produced when either Gold or Gold Amalgam is heated to 1065.85°C. Any pocket of Gold or Gold Amalgam that reaches this temperature will convert into Molten Gold. Outside of direct heating, Molten Gold also appears naturally from environmental sources: a Gold Volcano will periodically erupt, emitting Molten Gold at rates that vary by volcano and eruption cycle.
Because Molten Gold is the direct result of melting Gold or Gold Amalgam, it is the intermediate high-temperature form you will encounter when processing or accidentally overheating gold-bearing deposits. Its primary in-game origins are deliberate heating (for example, by thermal processes that reach the melting threshold) and volcanic eruptions from Gold Volcanoes.
Practical notes and interactions:
- Molten Gold appears only when Gold or Gold Amalgam reach 1065.85°C; below that temperature they remain solid.
- Gold Volcanoes are a recurring natural source of Molten Gold and will erupt at different, periodic speeds, producing Molten Gold without player heating.
- Manage Molten Gold by anticipating where it will appear: sources include localized heating of ores and volcanic vents. Containment and heat management are necessary to control where the liquid flows and to prevent unwanted heating of nearby materials.
- Since Molten Gold originates directly from Gold or Gold Amalgam, any plan to produce or utilize Gold in liquid form must account for the high temperature required to create it and for volcanic contributions that may suddenly add Molten Gold to an area.
This element exists purely as the molten state of Gold within the game’s element system and is produced through the two mechanisms above; procedural behavior such as eruption timing and exact eruption rates depend on the specific
