Tender Brisket
Overview
Tender Brisket is a cooked food that is made by smoking Tough Meat. It is the only way to turn Tough Meat, which Duplicants cannot eat raw, into an edible meal.
The recipe takes 600 seconds and produces 3.2 units of Tender Brisket worth 16,000 kcal. The process does not require Duplicant operation while cooking, but Duplicants must manually load the ingredients and remove the finished food. Because Tough Meat itself contains 9,600 kcal when counted by Duplicant food values, the cooking process effectively adds 6,400 kcal of value.
Tender Brisket is mainly useful as a way to salvage Tough Meat from critters and turn it into a proper food source. Since Tough Meat cannot be consumed directly, any food plan that relies on it must include a cooking setup that can smoke it into Tender Brisket.
