Niobium Biome

Overview
The
Exploration is difficult because many common materials will melt in the biome’s heat, and some can even evaporate. The gravitas facility in particular should be looted as quickly as possible, since it will rapidly melt while surrounded by magma. Despite the danger, the biome has one major advantage: no gases are present by default, so a vacuum can be maintained easily if nothing has already entered the area.
- Avoid direct contact with hot materials whenever possible; the biome’s temperature makes normal construction and traversal hazardous.
- Bring materials and equipment that can tolerate extreme heat, or plan to work from insulated or remote positions.
- The lack of ambient gas makes sealing the area and preserving a vacuum much simpler than in most other biomes.
- Prioritize any reachable gravitas structures and niobium resources before prolonged exposure causes further damage to the area.
