Burglar's Ring

The Burglar's Ring is a ring that affects monster loot. Its main use is to increase the practical value of combat by making it easier to gather the items needed for certain Special Orders that ask for monster drops, especially Fragments of the past and Juicy Bugs Wanted!.

When equipped, the ring can also cause some special drops to appear twice. For example, killing a Big Slime in the Skull Cavern can yield two copies of its special item, such as Pink Cake, Qi Gem, or Galaxy Soul, even though the ring does not change the chance that the item appears at all. It can likewise produce two Prismatic Jelly or two Ectoplasm, although this does not affect the Wizard's Special Order tied to those items.

A few limits are worth noting:

• Wearing the Burglar's Ring in the Mines does not make special monsters drop their special items twice.
• It does not increase double-drop chances for certain items that are added directly to monster loot tables in a way that bypasses the ring's effect.
• Its value is strongest when farming monsters for specific quest items or rare drops, rather than for general combat rewards.

Because of this, the Burglar's Ring is especially useful for players who spend time farming monsters in places like the Skull Cavern or who want a more reliable way to complete item-hunting Special Orders.
