Black Metal Tower Shield

The Black metal tower shield is a high-tier tower shield that provides strong blocking power at the cost of mobility. Like all tower shields, it cannot parry, but it is designed to absorb heavy hits rather than deflect them. While equipped, it imposes a 20% movement speed penalty and increases dodge stamina consumption by 20%, making it a defensive choice best used when mobility is less important than survivability.

It is crafted with fine wood, black metal, and chains, and it can be customized at the crafting bench with one of several preset styles and colors. The shield’s appearance is chosen by clicking the style button beneath the item name while crafting, and the design cannot be changed afterward. There are seven available styles.

Because it is a tower shield, the Black Metal tower shield is suited to players who want maximum blocking strength and are willing to accept the speed penalty. It is especially useful when holding a line, tanking enemies, or protecting a group, but it is less flexible than round shields for aggressive or evasive combat.
