Flametal Shield

Flametal shield is a shield crafted from Ashwood, Flametal, and Asksvin Hide. It is a late-game defensive weapon built around high block power and durability, and it improves significantly with each quality upgrade. The shield has four visual styles in its gallery, but its core function remains the same: it is meant for blocking rather than dealing damage.

At quality 1, the shield has 114 block armor and 200 durability. Upgrading it raises those values to 120 block armor and 250 durability at quality 2, then 126 block armor and 300 durability at quality 3. Its upgrade costs are:

• Quality 1: 10 Ashwood, 8 Flametal, 2 Asksvin hide
• Quality 2: 10 Ashwood, 4 Flametal, 2 Asksvin hide
• Quality 3: 20 Ashwood, 8 Flametal, 4 Asksvin hide

Because the shield’s block armor scales steadily with upgrades, it becomes much more effective for surviving heavy hits as soon as you can afford to improve it. Its crafting cost also makes Flametal the limiting material, so progression is usually tied to how much of that resource you can gather.
