Wood Arrow

Wood arrows are the first ammunition available for the bow in Valheim. They are crafted in stacks of 20 and cannot be upgraded, making them a basic early-game arrow option for ranged combat.

Despite their simple materials, Wood arrows deal 22 piercing damage, with 22 stagger and 10 knockback listed in their stats. They are lightweight at 0.1 each, so they are easy to carry in large numbers. As a starting projectile, they are useful for early hunting and for picking off weaker enemies before more specialized arrow types become available.

Because they are the most basic arrow type, Wood arrows are mainly valued for accessibility rather than efficiency. They are best used when resources are limited or when a player needs a cheap supply of ammunition. Once stronger bow materials and better arrow recipes are unlocked, they are usually replaced by higher-damage or elemental alternatives.
