Large Sculpting Block

Large Sculpting Block is a decorative building used to create large sculptures for your colony. Like other sculpture variants, it contributes Decor rather than serving a functional industry role, and it is one of the ways to turn spare base space into a high-value social area.

The block can be used for several sculpture designs, ranging from crude to masterpiece-quality art. Available works include Inexplicable, O Cupid, My Cupid, The Hypothesizer, Plate Chucker, Before Battle, Grandiose Grub-Grub, Vertical Cosmos, and Into the Voids. These pieces are primarily for improving morale through Decor, with the finished result depending on the sculpture design selected.

Material choice affects its Decor value. Building Large Sculpting Blocks with Sandstone gives an extra +10% total Decor bonus, while building with Granite or Ceramic gives +20% total Decor. Because of that, it is worth using higher-quality building materials when placing them in rooms that Duplicants pass through often, especially morale hubs and living areas.

The building is part of the larger sculpture family alongside Sculpting Block, Ice Block, Marble Block, and Metal Block. Large Sculpting Block is the version intended for oversized art installations, making it a straightforward way to add a substantial decorative centerpiece to a base.
