Overview

Castle Janitor is a low-health melee minion encountered in the castle area. Janitors shuffle forward to reach the player and deliver a surprisingly heavy, comical punch that can knock themselves out from the force of the blow. Their attack animation shows them stumbling into the target and dealing notable damage if they connect, but they seldom actually land hits because their HP is very low and their role exposes them to many hazards before they reach the player.

Despite the joke of their name and behavior, Castle Janitors are described in-game as the unsung workforce who keep adventurers safe from slippery slime and airborne brick dust inside the castle. Many of them dream of one day joining the Ballista Militia, making them a cheeky flavorful part of castle encounters rather than a serious battlefield threat.

  • Health is extremely low: Castle Janitor has the lowest HP among enemies at 50, making them easier to remove than most other minions.
  • Offensive power is situational: their single close-range punch can deal considerable damage and includes a self-stunning visual, but this only matters if they actually reach the player.
  • Visuals and hitbox notes: they wear what appears to be a bucket on their head, which looks like protection but serves only as a cosmetic detail in the game and does not provide extra defense.
  • Behavior implications: because they rarely survive long enough to attack, focus on clearing more durable threats first; Janitors are mostly nuisance minions whose presence is more about castle flavor and momentary risk than sustained pressure.
  • Sprite reuse: Castle Janitor shares the same upcoming/battle icon sprite pattern used by a few other castle-themed enemies, reflecting a small degree of visual reuse in the game’s enemy roster.
