Crystal Slimeglob

Overview

The creature is notable in the game's setting as well as its mechanics. Scholars speculate that the slime’s apparent inertness to some crystal effects could help neutralize the crystals’ corrupting influence, while adventurers regard it simply as an unwelcome large predator. This dual perspective appears in the game’s lore but does not change the in-combat behavior described below.
- The Slimeglob receives twice the magnitude of any power changes (both positive and negative). Offensive or defensive buffs applied to it have double impact.
- When Sporeshrooms or other units that grant or trigger strength modifiers accompany the
Crystal Slimeglob, their synergies multiply the threat, often making the combination far more difficult than either enemy alone.
- Prioritize crowd-control and single-target strength removal or heavy damage before the
Crystal Slimeglob closes to melee range. Because buffs are doubled, delaying its buff application or removing buffs is highly effective.
- Area effects that apply debuffs are also doubled in effect; use this to your advantage by stacking debuff sources that reduce its damage or defenses.
- Anticipate its approach in crystal/mine stages and build counters in advance rather than reacting at the last second; these enemies scale quickly with allied support and can invalidate unprepared strategies.
