Overview

Giant Radiaworm is a large, aggressive monster encountered in Peglin. It is an evolved form of the common radiaworm that has grown by consuming crystal fragments while tunneling; at this stage it becomes primarily interested in moving prey and attacks from range rather than engaging in biting. Giant Radiaworms appear as persistent ranged threats that pepper the player with projectiles, chipping away at health over time if left alive.

Because Giant Radiaworms attack from a distance and continuously wear down the player, they demand prompt priority during fights. They do not bite, but their projectile attacks make them dangerous if ignored; taking them down quickly prevents cumulative damage that can compromise a run. Giant Radiaworms were added to the Encirclepedia in v0.9.58 and were present at Early Access release.

  • Assign early removal resources (high single-target damage, direct-aim pegs, or crowd-control that focuses fire) to neutralize Giant Radiaworms before their sustained shot pattern accumulates significant damage.
  • Avoid letting fights drag out when a Giant Radiaworm is active; its consistent ranged harassment punishes slow, low-damage strategies.
  • Positioning and peg placement that favor concentrated strikes against the Giant Radiaworm increase survivability for the rest of the board, since eliminating it reduces incoming sustained damage.
