The appearance and sprite have changed since introduction: an earlier sprite showed a green-and-red present, while a later sprite uses a white-and-orange present with an isometric perspective. The entity’s behavior and presentation have been adjusted in several updates (notably v0.6.18, v0.7.16, v0.7.36, and v0.8.22) to fix bugs such as a four-hit interaction and to update the visual representation.
Practical notes for play:
- Expect every peg on the board to require the Durable number of hits while this effect is present; plan shots that can deal repeated hits or exploit multi-hit interactions.
- Special pegs (refresh, critical, bomb) still function but are limited to a single activation unless modified by relics that change their trigger behavior.
- Because the entity grants a board-wide property rather than being a single unpoppable object, traditional peg-clearing strategies remain viable but require accounting for increased peg survivability.
- Visual changes to the sprite do not alter the mechanical Durable effect; treat appearance updates as purely cosmetic.
