Pacu Fillet is categorized under food and behaves identically whether it is dropped by juvenile or adult Pacu: the mass of fillet yielded on death is the same for both life stages.

Pacu Fillet is classified as a meat food for achievement tracking, contributing to the EAT_MEAT achievement when consumed. It is commonly processed into higher-value prepared foods. In the Electric Grill, Pacu Fillet can be cooked into Cooked Seafood. In the Smoker, Pacu Fillet can be turned into Smoked Fish. These cooked variants provide more food value and longer spoil times than raw fillets.
