Lura Plant

Overview
The Lura Plant is a farmable plant that can be cultivated by duplicants rather than left wild. In planted form, it does not need any additional fertilizer and consumes flying Critter at four times the rate of its wild counterpart. The counts discussed for Lura Plant on this page refer to planted specimens.
Like other plants in the game, a Lura Plant follows the normal plant rules for growth and upkeep: if its temperature, atmosphere, pressure, or other conditions are not met, it becomes stifled and stops working until the environment is corrected. Most plants also produce a seed when uprooted or killed, and food or industrial plants have a chance to drop seeds during harvest, though mutated plants are infertile.
Because of its special behavior, a Lura Plant is best treated as a dedicated colony or ranch support structure rather than a general-purpose crop. If you are using it for its intended purpose, make sure the area around it is set up so the relevant Critter can reach it reliably, since its effectiveness depends on being able to consume them continuously. In practice, this makes it most useful in controlled builds where the surrounding airspace and access routes are already managed.
- Planted Lura Plants need no extra fertilizer.
- They consume flying Critter more quickly than wild plants.
- As with other plants, unmet environmental requirements will stifle growth and stop production.
- Harvest and seed behavior follows the standard plant rules unless a mutation changes the plant’s fertility.
