Sweet Pea

The Sweet Pea is a summer forage item and flower. It is most commonly found in Pelican Town, where it is the only forage item available during Summer, but it also grows in Cindersap Forest, the Bus Stop, the Railroad, and on the Forest Farm Map. It can additionally be produced from Summer wild seeds, and it may appear randomly in garbage cans during Summer.

Like other forage items, Sweet Pea can be collected directly from the ground rather than harvested from a crop. It is also one of the possible ingredients for Summer wild seeds, and the Wild Seeds (Su) recipe produces 10 Summer Seeds per craft. This makes Sweet Pea part of the seasonal foraging loop, especially for players who want to stockpile forageables or keep a steady supply of wild seed ingredients.

Sweet Pea is edible, but it does not restore any Energy or Health. Because of that, it is generally more useful as a crafting, tailoring, dyeing, or quest item than as food.

It also has a few practical uses:

• It can be used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create a Shirt.
• It can be used in dyeing as a purple dye at the dye pots in Emily’s and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.
• It may be randomly requested during Summer on the Help Wanted board outside Stone’s General Store, rewarding gold and 150 Friendship points when the request is completed.

Since Sweet Pea is a forage item, its value is tied more to availability than to direct utility. Players exploring town routes in Summer will often encounter it naturally, and checking the garbage cans can provide extra copies without any cost. Although it has no restorative effect when eaten, it remains useful for tailoring and dyeing, and it can still contribute to seasonal requests and wild seed production.
