Lox Meat

Lox meat is a raw food item dropped by Lox. It is one of the main ingredients used in late-game cooking, especially for hearty meals made at the cauldron. Like other raw meats, it can be cooked on an Iron Cooking Station to produce Cooked Lox Meat, or used directly in recipes that call for it.

Its most important use is in making Lox Meat Pie, one of the strongest food items available from the Plains. Lox meat pie is prepared in a cauldron with cloudberries and barley flour, and the uncooked version is then finished in a stone oven. Because of this, Lox meat remains valuable even after better food progression is available, since it is required for one of the game’s best health foods.

• Cooking Lox meat on an Iron cooking station turns it into Cooked lox meat.
• Cooked lox meat cannot be used in recipes that specifically require Lox meat.
• Lox meat is also used in uncooked Lox meat pie, which is made at a level 4 cauldron.
• Lox meat pie provides a very large health bonus when baked in a stone oven.
• Lox are large, furred reptilian creatures found in the Plains, and they can be tamed and ridden.
