Mimillet

Mimillet is a plant seed found in the Garden Biome. It functions like other in-game seeds: it can be planted, fed to critters, or processed through cooking into edible food. Wild Mimillet sources include Mimillet sprouts in the Garden Biome; pulling a sprout yields one Mimillet. When a sprout matures it releases a Mimillet moth, and a Mimillet moth that dies by any cause other than being eaten will drop one Mimillet, so a mature sprout typically produces one seed. Mimillet can also be obtained from printed supply packs when that option is enabled.

Mimillet is inedible raw but can be cooked at an Electric Grill to produce a consumable item. The cooking recipe uses one Mimillet to create a lightly toasted Mimillet that provides +1,500 kcal and +1 quality and grants a minor positive description effect when consumed.

Practical uses and interactions:

• Planting: Mimillet functions as a normal seed for farming in farm tiles and hydroponic setups; use it to establish crops in the Garden Biome or inside player-built farms.
• Critter feed/domestication: Mimillet can be fed to critters such as Pacus to help domesticate them. Pacus fed seeds will excrete Polluted Dirt, making Mimillet useful in critter-based Polluted Dirt generation loops.
• Food production: Cooking one Mimillet on an Electric Grill yields a toasted Mimillet that restores 1,500 kcal and counts as a +1 quality prepared food; plan grills accordingly if using Mimillet as part of a mid-game food rotation.
• Resource generation: Because mature sprouts release moths that drop seeds upon dying (unless consumed), Mimillet can be farmed indirectly by allowing the natural life cycle of the sprout → moth → seed to proceed.

• Harvest wild Mimillet sprouts in the Garden Biome for reliable initial seeds.
• Enable printed supply packs to occasionally receive Mimillet from supply drops.
• Using critters to convert Mimillet into Polluted Dirt provides an alternate value stream beyond food production.
