In-flight Knight

Overview

Lore describes In-flight Knights as Knights who dedicate themselves to the craft of sharpshooting; they sometimes brave dangerous forests alone to gather the wood and materials required to become archers. This background explains why they appear as lone ranged threats rather than standard foot soldiers.
Tactically, In-flight Knights should be prioritized and eliminated quickly to prevent ongoing chip damage:
- Target them early in a round to stop their fast arrow volleys and reduce sustained damage to the party.
- Ranged-focused or high single-target damage abilities are effective for removing them before they can act repeatedly.
- Controlling effects that delay or interrupt their firing also mitigate their threat, though direct elimination is generally the most reliable method.
- Their presence rewards clearing priority: letting them persist causes steady attrition that compounds over multiple turns.
Version notes: the unit’s art was updated and its damage was reduced in an early access patch; the enemy was added to the Encirclepedia in v0.9.58.
