Peg-ta

Overview

In lore, most mine denizens fear
Gameplay interactions and practical notes:
Peg-ta does not permanently destroy level geometry; the board can be restored by effects that refresh or re-generate pegs (refresh_peg) or critical peg effects (crit_peg).
- Because
Peg-ta removes pegs, it removes opportunities for orb bounces, peg-based upgrades/downgrades, and peg-triggered slime powering while it is active. Restoring the pegs returns those interactions.
- Downgrade and Upgrade peg effects remain relevant once pegs are restored. Upgrades increase orb damage or power slimes; Downgrade acts as the opposite of Upgrade and reduces orb damage while powering slimes in a separate pool. Upgrades and Downgrades are tracked independently (a +30 and a −30 peg do not cancel each other numerically for slime or shield powering).
- Many orbs and relics that interact with peg state or upgrade/downgrade status can mitigate or exploit
Peg-ta’s effect. Orbs that regenerate or create pegs (for example, Reforbisher orbs or any listed in the game that spawn pegs) and relics that refresh pegs are effective counters.
- Because Invisible enemies synergize with
Peg-ta in lore and encounter design, expect combinations where board-clearing is used to tilt battles toward non-peg damage patterns; plan orb choices and relics accordingly.
