Go For The Icircle

Overview

The extra effect is described in sources as a blinding/darkness-type debuff; descriptions vary between “Blind” and “Darcness,” but both sources agree that the Orb applies a status that impairs enemies after impact. This additional application enables synergies that rely on blinding or similar status effects.
- Branch of Ember causes
Go For The Icircle to apply the Bramble effect when its debuff triggers, allowing the Orb to add thorn-like damage while enemies are afflicted. This makes a strong pairing with
Mask of Sorrow to capitalize on status-triggered bonuses.
Sand Arrows (or similar upgrades that amplify status effects on projectiles) increase the potency or duration of the debuff applied by
Go For The Icircle, further strengthening builds that center on crowd control.
- All standard strategies and positioning for Icircle—spacing to let shards spread and ricochet—apply equally to
Go For The Icircle; players use the same aiming considerations but gain the tactical benefit of inflicting the extra status.
The Orb’s name is a portmanteau of “icicle” and “circle,” mirroring the original Icircle naming, and intentionally parodies the phrase “go for the eyes.” It is the only Orb to reference another Orb directly in its name.
