The Snowman has a stagger-and-crystal weak point mechanic. Players must first damage its body to stagger it; once staggered, its top hat falls away and exposes a crystal underneath. Hitting the crystal deals direct damage, and once the crystal has taken enough punishment, the 
Its attacks include:
- Claw Swipe: a close-range melee swipe.
- Charge: a mid-range rush that can hit targets in its path.
- Frost Breath: a long-range ice wave that deals cold damage.
- Jump: a short leap that lands in an area and damages nearby targets.
- Grab: a close-range attempt to seize a player and throw them a short distance if successful.
Useful tactics include:
- Fire damage weapons deal significant damage to the Snowman.
- Although it has resistance to Bullet and Explosive damage, certain weapons that use those damage types can still produce respectable burst damage.
- Luring it back to the train tracks near the entrance allows the train to hit it and kill it instantly.
- Because it does not activate until interacted with, players can set up ambushes before starting the encounter.
