Spinterest Payment

Spinterest Payment is an orb introduced in v0.9.15 that converts stored gold into a benefit when activated. The orb was reclassified from Uncommon to Rare in v0.9.22. Its name is a pun on "interest payment."

Spinterest Payment is primarily built around accumulating and retaining large amounts of gold before triggering the orb. Players use relics and other orbs that increase gold gain or reduce spending to maximize the orb's effectiveness. Because the orb scales with the amount of gold held, the optimal play involves deliberately hoarding currency and avoiding expenditures that would reduce the orb's potential payout.

Practical notes for use:

• Prioritize relics and orbs that grant passive gold income or reward gold from encounters to increase the orb's base value.
• Delay purchases and consumable usage where feasible so the orb can capitalize on a larger gold total.
• Treat the orb as a late-game finisher or a strategic resource to be activated after a profitable run of rooms rather than an early expendable.
• Consider synergy with mechanics that temporarily multiply or protect your gold to amplify the orb's effect.
