Overview

Splatorb is a common offensive orb in Peglin that applies a Rubber Slime effect on contact. It was introduced in the Demo release and has received iterative changes since, including a wording change in Beta that also made pegs durable and additional effects added in v0.6.18; new artwork for Splatorb appears in an unspecified later update. In gameplay, Splatorb is primarily valued for how quickly its slime effect is applied relative to other slime-orbs.

Splatorb’s Rubber Slime slows and alters peg interactions by making hit pegs more rubbery, which lengthens the time orbs remain in flight after bouncing. This property increases the window for secondary ricochets and additional orb collisions, enhancing multi-hit potential. Because Splatorb applies its slime effect faster than other slime-orbs on average across levels, it pairs especially well with effects and relics that benefit from prolonged orb travel.

Practical notes for use and synergies:

  • Splatorb is the best slime orb to run alongside the A Good Slime relic when the intent is to apply slime quickly and secure the rubbery state early in a shot.
  • The Rubber Slime interaction keeps orbs airborne longer, making Splatorb a strong complement to relics that reward extended orb flight or extra bounces, notably Pocketwatch and Mental Mantle.
  • Use Splatorb in decks focused on maximizing ricochets and passive orb value rather than single, high-damage impacts; its strength is in enabling repeated contacts over time.
  • Because its effect is applied rapidly, Splatorb is useful in crowded peg rooms where early conversion to rubber slime can redirect multiple subsequent orbs.

Splatorb remains a dependable utility offensive orb for builds that exploit extended flight and repeated peg contacts rather than raw single-shot damage.
