Tulip

Tulip is a flower crop grown from Tulip Bulbs in 6 days. It progresses through four growth stages before harvest, spending 1 day in each of the first two stages, 2 days in the third stage, and 2 days in the fourth stage for a total of 6 days. Tulips can also be bought from the Traveling Cart.

When planted within the effective range of a Bee House, a Tulip produces Tulip Honey instead of regular honey, increasing the honey’s base value. This makes tulips one of the flowers that can influence honey production, so placing them near bee houses can be useful when planning a flower field.

Tulip is also used in tailoring: placing it in the spool of the Sewing Machine creates the dyeable Skirt. It can additionally be used as a red dye ingredient in the dye pots at Emily and Haley’s house, 2 Willow Lane.

• Tulips have an equal chance of appearing in one of five colors.
• Because each color can stack separately in inventory and chests, and each color can come in four quality levels, a single type of tulip can occupy up to 20 different inventory spaces across all variants.
• Its low price, short growth time, and decent energy restoration make it a practical early-game crop if you want a quick source of food or gifts rather than maximum profit.
• Its profit margin is relatively small, so it is often grown more for appearance, dyeing, or gifting than for money-making.
