Overview

Bronze nails are a crafting material made at the Forge from Bronze. One Bronze bar produces 20 Bronze nails, making them a relatively efficient metal component for early- and mid-game construction and transport items.

Their main purpose is to unlock several advanced build pieces and one of the game's first vehicles. Bronze nails are required for the Cart, the Karve, Wooden shutters, horizontal and vertical item stands, and the Barber Kit. Because they are consumed in noticeable quantities for some of these recipes, it is worth planning bronze production with both travel and base-building in mind.

  • Cart: 10 Bronze nails are needed, along with Wood.
  • Karve: 80 Bronze nails are needed, together with Finewood, Deer Hide, and Resin.
  • Wooden shutters: 20 Bronze nails are needed, along with Wood.
  • Item stand, horizontal: 1 Bronze nail and Finewood.
  • Item stand, vertical: 1 Bronze nail and Finewood.
  • Barber kit: 5 Bronze nails, Finewood, Troll Hide, and the Barber kit itself as part of the recipe chain.

Since Bronze nails are created in batches of 20, they are often best treated as a planning resource rather than a one-off crafting ingredient. The Karve alone consumes four batches, while the Cart and decorative furniture use smaller amounts. Players who are expanding storage, improving base decoration, or preparing for sea travel will usually want to keep a steady reserve of Bronze nails on hand.

Bronze nails are also notable because they sit at the transition point between simple bronze-age crafting and more specialized utility items. Once bronze production is established, they become a frequent prerequisite for both mobility and interior design, especially when building a functional settlement with carts, ship access, and item display options.
