Wolf Pelt

A pelt of shaggy fur.
Overview

Wolf pelt is primarily associated with wolf-themed equipment and mountain-base furnishing. It is required to craft the wolf cape, wolf armor pieces, and several interior items, making it useful well beyond its first use as a hunting drop. The material is also part of the crafting cost for the
Known uses include:
- Wolf cape
- Wolf chest piece
- Wolf leg armor
- Wolf rug
- Dragon bed
Stone throne
The wolf rug is a particularly efficient decorative use, since it only costs 4 wolf pelts. The Stone throne requires 2 wolf pelts, while the Dragon bed uses 4 wolf pelts along with finewood, deer hide, feathers, and iron nails. Because these structures are tied to comfort and base progression, wolf pelt remains useful even after a player has upgraded beyond wolf armor.
In practice, wolf pelt is worth collecting whenever wolves are hunted in the Mountains. Since wolves are a biome-specific enemy, stockpiling pelts during mountain expeditions helps avoid repeated trips later when crafting furniture or finishing the wolf equipment set.
