Old Growth Venom Battrap

Overview

These battraps favor pack tactics: smaller groups are too vulnerable to predators while larger clusters cannot secure enough food, which explains their consistent trio formation. In combat they deal sustained damage if left unchecked, and their presence is signaled by a distinctive board layout that encourages players to clear them quickly.
Practical notes for dealing with Old Growth Venom Battrrap:
- They are stationary, so area and line effects are particularly effective. Orbs or effects with Overflow and piercing properties neutralize all three members quickly.
- Prepare orbs that can hit multiple enemies at once (Pierce, Overflow) or otherwise produce wide-area damage to avoid allowing the trio to trade blows over multiple turns.
- Their typical encounter layout favors clearing shots that pass through the group; aim to line up pegs so a single shot can traverse multiple battraps.
- They were adjusted across versions: early releases had different health and damage values, and they were added to the Encirclepedia in v0.9.58.
