Spinning Wheel

The Spinning wheel is a crafting building used to process flax into linen thread. It becomes available after defeating Moder, and it must be placed near an Artisan Table to function. Once supplied with flax, it works automatically and produces linen thread on the ground rather than adding it directly to storage.

Each piece of flax takes 30 seconds to convert, and the Spinning wheel can hold up to 40 flax at a time. This makes it one of the key late-game production stations for preparing materials used in black metal weaponry and padded armor.

Because it operates on its own, the main practical concern is keeping it fed with flax and making sure there is space nearby for the finished thread to drop. A covered work area is required for it to operate properly. In normal use, it is best placed close to your flax storage and your other Plains-era production buildings so that bulk processing is easy to manage.
