Snow Pest

A pest with a thick coat of woolly fur. It seems to bring the cold wherever it goes.
Overview
Snow Pest is a hostile creature found in several late-game areas, including the Office Sector, Manufacturing West, and the Mycofields. It behaves like a smaller pest variant adapted to cold environments: it slowly hops around its designated area, and some individuals remain stationary until disturbed. In the Mycofields, three nests can be found across the region, and they respawn infrequently when the portal world resets.
Its main attack is a leap that launches it toward its target from roughly 3–4 storage-crate distances away. The strike deals damage and can cause bleeding. A lone Snow Pest is not especially dangerous, but groups of three or more can overwhelm an unprepared player quickly. When it connects with a player character or most entities, it sends them a short distance into the air; landing on the same level does not cause fall damage or broken legs, but dropping to a lower level can.
Snow Pest can be handled more safely with timing-based reactions. Sidestep just before it reels in to dodge, or crouch as soon as the attack animation starts to avoid the leap. After either a dodge or a crouch, melee attacks are effective; blunt weapons deal more damage than other melee types. Late-game ranged weapons are also effective, and shields can block the attack. If you want to capture one alive, a

Its drops are valuable enough that Snow Pest is worth farming when you can do so safely. Harvesting can yield:
- Raw Pest — 75%
- Raw Pest Rump — 75%
Yeti Fur — 50%
The creature is also covered by a GATE Compendium entry, which identifies it as IS-0173-I and notes that its evolution extends far beyond a simple fur coat.
