Overview

Terriball is a weak, undersized orb that appears in Peglin. It was introduced in v0.8.5 alongside the new Cruciball levels and received proper artwork in v0.8.9. The name is a pun on "terrible," reflecting its inferior performance compared to the Pebball. In some non-English sources it is referred to as Лошарик.

Terriball has a significantly smaller hitbox than standard orbs. This reduced size allows it to pass through narrow gaps and occasionally reach a refresh or other distant target that a normal orb might not. That small-hitbox behavior is its only practical upside; the Terriball commonly fails to contact pegs that a regular-sized orb would have struck, reducing overall damage and peg-clear potential.

Players treat Terriball as a liability to be dealt with quickly. The optimal handling is to remove the orb from play as soon as practical rather than relying on its rare gap-clipping benefit. Practical considerations and play patterns:

  • Prioritize destroying or converting Terriballs before they consume board space or bounce into favorable positions for opponents (if applicable).
  • Avoid planning combos that depend on Terriball hitting multiple pegs; its small hitbox makes such outcomes unlikely.
  • Use abilities, items, or peg layouts that funnel or concentrate small orbs into hazards or off-board areas to accelerate their removal.
  • Remember that while it can sometimes reach a refresh through tight openings, this should not be relied on as a core strategy because it happens infrequently and does not offset the orb’s poor peg coverage.
