Mister Qi

Overview
Mister Qi is a mysterious late-game character who appears throughout Stardew Valley as a secretive patron and quest-giver. He is associated with the Casino, Qi's Walnut Room on Ginger Island, and several hidden quest chains that push the player into unusual objectives and rewards. He also appears in a few cutscenes, especially when Mystery Boxes become available and during the epilogue at The Summit.
Mister Qi can always be found at the Casino during the Oasis's open hours and in Qi's Walnut Room on Ginger Island. He is not a normal villager in the friendship system: players cannot give him gifts to raise friendship points. He is also featured in special orders, though those requests are handled separately from standard villager interaction.
His most notable involvement comes through quests. The quest line The Mysterious Qi begins from a hidden note and unfolds through a series of strange tasks, but it can be started at any time; it is not necessary to find the Lost Book or Secret Note #22 first. The chain includes placing a 


A few other details are tied to his secretive role in the world:
- Mister Qi appears in cutscenes when Mystery Boxes become available.
- He appears again in the epilogue at The Summit.
- If the player glitches to The Summit early, he will scold them for cheating, push them off the summit, and send them to Harvey's Clinic.
- The Summit cutscene also reveals that the player's
Grandpa knew Mister Qi.
Because he is built around hidden events, secret notes, and unusual challenges, Mister Qi serves as one of the game's main links between ordinary farm life and its most cryptic late-game content.
