Ms. Angler

Ms. Angler is one of the five Legendary Fish required for Mister Qi’s Extended Family Quest. It is a special version of the Angler that can only be caught while that quest is active, but more than one Ms. Angler can be caught during a single quest. It shares the same sell price, healing effect, location, and hooking chance as the Angler.

Ms. Angler is found in the river in Pelican Town, north of JojaMart. Because it appears in the same place as the Angler, players can use the usual river-fishing setup for that area when attempting the catch. Its quest-only availability makes it effectively a limited-time target, so it is best approached with a prepared fishing build and a clear plan to catch it before completing the quest objective.

In practical use, Ms. Angler is notable for being one of the few fish that can be kept in a Fish Pond with a fixed capacity of 1. That capacity cannot be increased. When placed in a pond, the only possible output is Ms. Angler Roe. The pond also grants fishing experience when producing items, with a 75% chance to produce output and a 25% chance to produce nothing at a population of 1. The daily overall chance is 37.5% for production and 62.5% for nothing.

Ms. Angler can also be used for tailoring. In the sewing machine and dye pots at Haley’s and Emily’s house, 2 Willow Lane, it serves as a red dye color. This gives it a small utility beyond its role as a quest fish and collectible Legendary Fish.
