Overview

Sniper is a ranged enemy of the Sagittari order, an ultra-clandestine core of a secretive sect whose discipline traces back to Roman archery schools in Parthia of the 2nd Century BCE. Snipers appear as long-range infantry that engage players on sight, using high-precision rifles that can kill most targets in only a few hits. They form part of the Order's stealth-oriented units and are notable for lethal marksmanship combined with relatively low physical resilience.

Snipers immediately open fire when they detect a target and can track moving targets with high accuracy. Their weapons have a fast rate of fire and inflict heavy bleeding, which makes sustained damage-over-time a significant threat after being hit. Snipers reveal the direction of their aim with a bright orange laser dot that marks where they are targeting; this visual cue both telegraphs their focus and can be used by players to determine their line of sight. If a player breaks line of sight, a Sniper will continue to face the last known direction of the target rather than immediately searching in all directions.

Tactically, Snipers require careful movement and cover. Use obstacles and rapid repositioning to break their aim and avoid long exposures. Because their shots cause heavy bleeding, keep a supply of Bandages or the more expensive Tech Bandage to treat wounds; otherwise bleeding will compound the initial damage. Despite their potent ranged damage, Snipers are physically weak compared to other Order soldiers and can be taken down with concentrated return fire or close-range tactics if players survive the initial volleys. A specific counterplay involves the Crystalline Armor Set: when a player has crafted and equipped the full set and remains crouched without attacking, Snipers and several other enemy types are unable to see the player, allowing safe approaches to sniper positions so long as stealth is not broken.

Typical loot from Snipers includes guaranteed pieces and chance-based items. Common and guaranteed drops are a Cracked Shoulder Light and .308 Ammo (with a guaranteed 1 unit and additional quantities dropping 40% for 1–3 extra). Other notable drops and approximate chances are:

Harvestable parts obtainable from defeated Snipers include a Human Arm (Military) at 50% and a Sniper Skull at 25%. After completion of the Security Sector, additional Sagittarii armor components become harvestable at roughly 10% each, including Sagittarii Stealth Plate, Sagittarii Leggings, and Sagittarii Stabilizers.

Visual references for Snipers exist in the game's media assets, showing side and front idle poses. These images assist identification of their armor and stance when engaging or avoiding them in the field.
